The closest major airport is Venice Marco Polo.
This airport handles domestic and international flights (124 destinations), including some long-haul flights to North America and the Middle East.
It is the fifth busiest airport in Italy. The airport is connected to the nearby railway station of Venice Mestre and to the bus terminal of Piazzale Roma in Venice by scheduled bus services; to several other destinations in Venice itself by the Alilaguna water shuttle; and to Piazza San Marco by the express water taxi.
A second international airport is Treviso-Sant’Angelo, which is located approximately 20 km from the city of Venice. This airport handles domestic and international flights (40 destinations), mainly operated by low-cost companies.
Frecciarossa trains cross the Italian peninsula offer fast connections at convenient and frequent times.

By bus: Line 5 - Aerobus to Piazzale Roma and then take ACTV line
By water: Alilaguna boat direct to the Lido - www.alilaguna.it

ACTV Lines 5.1, 6 to Lido (35 min.)
• From the Railway Station

ACTV Line 2 to San Zaccaria (28 min.) then either Line 1 or Line 5.1 to Lido (17 min.)

VENEZIA UNICA City Pass
Venice’s official City Pass VENEZIA UNICA is a card that offers three days of public transportation use with the ACTV Company in the city area.
The card will be delivered at the Congress Registration Desk and it is included in the registration fee, also for the Accompanying Person.
The card will be activated for the whole days of May 10, 11 and 12.
This card allows you to catch all vaporetto and buses in the City of Venice and buses in Mestre.
If you want to buy extra card you can visit the website Venezia Unica City Pass.
The Tronchetto parking area in Venice is not reachable by bus, but only by the people mover.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PEOPLE MOVER FARE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE VENEZIA UNICA CARD.
The card also includes the free use of the speedboat from Punta Sabbioni to Venice Lido, but it does NOT include bus transportation in Punta Sabbioni (one way fare 1,50 €).
The public transportation from/to Marco Polo Airport is provided by another company, named Alilaguna, and is not included in Venezia Unica card.
Warning: The fare includes the transport of only one piece of luggage and its three dimensions must not exceed 150 cm.
